Telepsychiatry, also known as telemedicine or telehealth in psychiatry, is the use of video conferencing technology to provide mental health services remotely. It allows patients to receive mental health care in a secure and private setting, without the need for in-person visits.

During a telepsychiatry session, you will communicate with your provider by using a secure video conferencing platform, such as Zoom. However, it is important to note that telepsychiatry is not appropriate for all mental health conditions, and it may not be suitable for individuals with severe mental health conditions or those who require immediate, in-person medical attention. It is important for individuals to discuss their specific needs with a mental health provider to determine if telepsychiatry is an appropriate option for them

The goal of supportive therapy is to help individuals feel understood, validated, and empowered as they work through their challenges.

Supportive therapy can be an effective treatment approach for individuals who are seeking emotional support and practical guidance to help them manage their mental health challenges. By providing a safe and supportive environment, individuals can develop coping skills and strategies that are needed to maintain mental wellness over the long term.

The goal of medication management is to help individuals achieve and maintain mental stability and improve their quality of life. Medications can be used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, ADHD, and others.

These evaluations range from 40-60 minutes. The purpose of a psychiatric evaluation is to help diagnose mental health disorders, develop an appropriate treatment plan, and provide ongoing support to the individual.

During a psychiatric evaluation, you will be asked a series of questions about your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and overall mental health history.

Based on the information gathered during the evaluation, a diagnosis will be developed, if appropriate, and recommend a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. This may include psychotherapy, medication management, or other therapeutic interventions. Ongoing follow-up appointments may also be recommended to monitor progress and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.
